State of the art digital theaters are used to demonstrate live surgery

Department of Paediatric Surgery

Established in 1956 the Department is accredited as a training centre for career paediatric surgeons. It serves as a regional and referral hospital and is regarded as a national centre for solid organ transplantation.

Minimally invasive surgery performed in state of the art digital theaters. Interactive training is done using the dedicated bi-directional audio and video link to the lecture room.

Paediatric Surgical Skills Training Center will be developed onsite. Construction starting in September 2010 will enhance the training capacity to new levels. Click here for more information.

The Department is responsible for comprehensive surgical services to children under the age of twelve years. It is recognised nationally and internationally as a leading centre of paediatric surgical training.
